EXCITING UPDATES FOR MY D'ADDIO & MONDELLO LINES 9/2007

My Aunt Bea D'Addio is 80 years old and she wanted to know more about her
family and I was still wondering where they all could be so I asked Aunt Bea
and my Cousin Fee Troxel if they knew any living relatives. They did and that
is how I got the 2 New Names and families to add.

Rita King of New Jersy from the Mondello (Mondile) lines and Diana Ciancaglini
from Philadelphia from the D'Addio (D'Adedio) lines. They are both distant
cousins who I am researching their family lines to add. I talked to both Rita
and Diana about their family and they both gave me a few names to add. In the
next month I will write a letter and send e-mails and pictures to correspond
with them so they can see how my family had grown and to help me find some
answers. I really appreciate their information and I'm so excuited to find more
family that I never knew I had! More to come on their lines real soon!

TAKE NOTE
This tree is not finished and you may have a branch that is not yet entered
into these pages. Contact me if you have a family connection that you would
like for me to add.

HERE IS WERE I STARTED!

Way back When, The Fife Family had many children, sometimes 10 or more. So
that would mean a lot of family to find. So with my searching and maybe a
little help from you we can make this tree blossom and be full one day and keep
it growing for the future! And have a lot of fun and excitement trying!

INTERESTING FACTS AND BELIEFS

To date the Family History information I have is that I am from the Scotch-
Irish Fife Family who's GGG Grandfather was born in Lenoir Co., North
Carolina in 1770.

From History I have reason to believe that during the 1700's that Scotch-Irish
immigrants first came to America from Scotland and Ireland. They came into the
USA thru Pennsylvania, and some later migrated once again to the Coast of the
Carolina's. Other stories list Fife family members going to Canada. I have no
proof of any original place of origins for my family line. That is why I am
always searching for answers.

I have recently read where they have one of their early settler being James
Fife living in Charlestown, SC in 1774. I have also read e-mails sent to me by
other researchers that they stem from a David, John and William Fife. I am
currently tyring to find out if they are related to our lines. (Note my fathers
name is James Fife)

This is hear say so I am not sure but one of my Fathers sisters Aunt Catherine
Chapman was said to have made a trip Scotland and found our ancestors who were
related to the McDonald or McDuff Clan but I do not have any proof that.

My Grandmother Maude Cox on my fathers side always told me that we were part
Cherokee Indian. I have reason to believe it because all of my other family
members were also told the same thing. I do not have the actual proof that my
family background is part Cherokee Indian but I am searching for the proof
while searching for my family.

I have looked into DNA testing and might take that option to see if we are in
any way related to an Indian Tribe and to see where our family origins are.
More on that idea later this year.

Some of My Fife families and their descendants later migrated North to Perry,
Florida, others moved to Central and South Florida. Other family members stayed
in and around NC, SC, GA & AL.

I have located lost Fife family in TX, UT, MN, WA, & ALASKA with some of these
who were at one time Missionaries in Central America.

My direct family members live in South Florida. I recently moved to Central
Florida just outside Orlando in a town called Clermont west on the tip of
Groveland, FL.

I started my family tree searching on July 19th, 2005. I have
received a lot of information online, over the phone and in person in the
past years since starting this Family Heritage project. Thanks to all of my
online family and helpers for your information!

Back when it was my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

It has been over 1 year now since starting my searching for family! WOW how
time passes! But I am so excited with my results so far!

I really wish I would have started this long ago when my father was here to
help me. But now I know because of some of the things that have happened along
the way that have led me to believe that I was the one to do this for our
family.

WHEN I WAS JUST GETTING STARTED

When starting my searches I was fortunate to have met a family member online
that has been searching her own family line for many years. She helped me to
get so much information. To date I have information dating back to 1770 in
Lenoir County, North Carolina.

I am truly grateful to Patricia Mixon Simmers she was the first family member
I met online. I am grateful for her knowledge of the Genealogy searches and
for her kindness of sharing it with me. I look forward to meeting her someday.
She is the daughter of a family member of the Mixon family. The Mixon family is
related to the Cox family by marriage.

Maude Cox Fife was married before Samuel Drew Fife to a James Richard Mixon.
James was Patricia's Uncle. James and Maude had a Daughter named Doris. She is
my Aunt Doris Edmondson. I will be adding her family lines soon.

I also found another family member out of the Phone Book. When traveling to
Live Oak, FL. I looked in the Lake City phone book and found Bill Fife and
called. He is my father James E. Fife's first cousin. His father is James
Caldwell Fife who was my Grandfather Samuel Drew Fife's Brother.

Since e-mailing and talking on the phone with Bill Fife he sent me more Fife
family Bible records to add to our tree. I have updated my tree with those
names & records.

I also found out that he has a business in Haines City which is close to our
house in Clermont, FL. During one of his business trips we met for the first
time in November. The time was short but I did manage to bring out some old
photos from a brief case that was handed down to me. Their are about 200
hundred photo's inside. From about 5 of the pictures I showed him one was his
Dad and another was his sister! I'm always happy to meet with him and would
like to meet the rest of his family someday soon.

MEETING FAMILY ONLINE

I have also met 2 other family members online. One who stems from my GGG
Grandfather Ebenezer Fife's wife Alice Wetherington. Glenn and Karen
Wetherington.

Another great find online is a descendant of Sidney Fife. Her Great
granddaughter Shirley Duell Edwards.

Cousin Shirley Duell Edwards family has an old Fife Family Bible that was
handed down to the granddaughters for many generations. Shirley is the person
who got the information from the old Fife Family Bible and placed the records
online for a Fife family member to someday find. And that Fife family member
was me!

Thank you Shirley! You are a blessing. You have saved me so much time in
searching! I recently talked to Cousin Shirley on the phone and she told me
about the Bible and who it will be handed down to. I hope to be able to meet
with Shirley someday and see the place where our ancestors lived and to also
look at the Old Family Bible she talks about.

I'M SO EXCITED, I'VE FOUND MORE FAMILY.

Katherine (Kathleen) Fife's Family

IT HAPPENED AGAIN! REESE FAMILY FIND.
Updated 4/2006

I recently had the pleasure of meeting another distant family relation online
this past week! We both posted notes about family on the Taylor County, FL
Boards online. Virginia lives in Arizona, she was formerly from Perry, FL and
is the Granddaughter of Phydella Reese.

Phydella Reese was my Grandfather Samuel Drew Fife's mother in law. Hallie
Lenew Reese was Samuel's wife and also my Great Grandmother!

Virginia and I have been sharing notes about our family lines and just so
happens she is related to us in another way! Bill Fife's sister Lelia Fife
Allan is her ex-sister in law. WOW! What a small world!

Virginia has given me some more family information that I have recently entered
into our Tree! So take a look around and don't forget to sign the guest book
and list your family names that you might be searching. You never know how
small this world really is, maybe someone else will be related somehow!

Since talking to Virginia she has told me that she is also searching her side
of the Freeman, Pridgeon, Godwin, Poppell, Cruce and Albritton Families. If
anyone has any relation or information to these family names please let her
know. Virginia takes a trip back to Perry once a year so I hope to be able to
meet with her someday!

PAST LOST FAMILY FIND
Updated 3/8/2006

Uncle Sam Fife who was ordained a Baptist Minister. He had many friends in the
churches he started all over the world. One who I have recently been
introduced to over the Internet. His name is John. Uncle Sammy died in a plane
crash while doing what he loved best. Serving the lord in his own way doing
missionary work.

John has helped me to locate my Cousin Donna Lynn Fife Gomez. And she only
lives an 1 1/2 hours away in Citra. FL.

Today I talked with Donna on the phone and was given an update as to how there
family is doing. She is married to Hermes Gomez and has four children Jinni,
Abel, Hannah, and Samuel. Jinni, Abel and Hannah live in Alaska and Samuel is
in Florida with his parents. They are planning to return to Alaska to be
back with their family next month.

I hope that we can get together and spend some time before they leave to share
stories and look thru the BIG Case of the old family pictures together.

DONNA LYNN FIFE Gomez!
Updated 4/12/2006

Just this week after finding out just last month that I only lived 2 hours
away I caught up with my long lost cousin Donna Lynn Fife. She is married and
has 4 children. She was recently living in Citra, FL to be close to her Mother
Lee Fife.

She just moved in April from Citra, Florida where she, her husband Hermes and
son Samuel have been living for the past 3 years. She made the long trip back
to Alaska where the rest of her 4 children live.

We looked at photo's of our families and also looked at some pictures from the
Old Black case and I gave her some photo's to take home with her.

I'm glad that we got to finally meet up with her family and I hope to keep in
touch with them and keep our family's together.

NEW FAMILY GET TOGETHER
Updated 12/2005

A new family find just happened over Christmas and New Years of 2005. Paul
and I, James and my Mother, Philomena Fife traveled back to Live Oak, Florida
to visit and spend the New Year with our friends Leon and Paula Edwards and
also to visit with Bill Fife and for our family to meet his grandsons for the
first time.

We went over to visit them at Bill Fife's River House and spend some time
getting to know his two youngest grandsons J and Jesse Fife and their mother
and Bill Fife's daughter in-law Elaine Fife.

It took a while for them to relax and get used to each other. They threw the
Football around for a while and James Road his go cart around. We had
some BBQ burgers and I showed them some more pictures from the Old brief
Case of family pictures and found other photo's of Bill Fife's family members.
One of his late sister Wanita and another of Sister Mary. We talked about
family stories and then it was time to say good-bye. We talked of having
another meeting with the whole family sometime soon!

LAST YEARS FAMILY FINDS
11/2005

On Thanksgiving Day 2005! I had been searching for my Uncle Benjamin Fife's
family who moved away after his death 20 years ago. The only information I had
was from old papers that said the family members lived in Washington State or
Minnesota.

After searching online I tried their local library and was happy to get a kind
person to help me look up their name in an old phone book.

Since talking with Cindy & Kay Fife I hope to start a family friendship with
all of my Uncles family. Kay his wife, Randy and Michael his sons and Cindy &
Wendy his twin girls.

I have been receiving many photo's of their family, some are already online.

FIFE'S FROM MINNESOTA UPDATE

Cindy & Wendy Fife are planning a trip to visit me next month! We will then go
down to Miami to visit with all the other family and give them a tour of where
their father's family once lived. Once returning back to Clermont we will also
be taking a trip to Perry, FL to look up more family info at the Historical
Society, Court House. And take a look at the Pisgah Cemetery were most of the
Elder Fife family members are buried. We will also meet up with some family
that still lives there.

So after this trip I will have more family info to add
to my tree and to share with you!

MINNESOTA FIFE'S TRIP TO FLORIDA UPDATE 8/3/2006

Cousins Cindy & Wendy Fife came to town with their friend Krystal! The time
went by so fast! As soon as they were here it was time to take off to Miami for
a few days and the Family Baby Shower of my
niece Jasmine.

During the course of the weekend they ate Latin food for the first time and
learned a few words in Spanish and experienced the night life in MIAMI, a BIG
CITY far from home!

On Saturday we spent some awesome time on Miami Beach before the Florida
weather storms came to drive us away. So off tourist shopping and site seeing
we went to bide our time! The girls love to shop! I know we have that in common!

Sunday afternoon's "BABY" Shower party was happening at Tropical Park and the
weather was great but Hot! All the family came out for the affair so the girls
and their friend Krystal got to meet our whole family that still live in Miami.

They tasted some of the flavorful Cuban pastries and ate Latin food and
listened to some Latin Music. A good time was had by all!

Me and my family came back home to Clermont, FL early so I didn't get to see
them on their way back thru Central Florida. We never really got the chance to
sit for a minute and look at any family pictures from the old brief case or
take the trip to Perry, FL to really talk about family.

Seems like they had a great time visiting and exploring Florida.
On their way back they stopped by cousin Carl Wayne's place in Georgia and
visited with him for a while.

Our Time together was short. Now they have met a whole lot of family they never
knew existed that live in another State that is very different and far from
their own.

We wish the best for them in their future and hope they keep in touch.
